A mindful and a healthy breakfast helps improve your metabolism throughout the day. Here are some delicious comforting golden milk breakfast ideas that will ensure you become mindful in each spoon of the meal.
GOLDEN MIDNIGHT OATS
- 1 cup Oat Flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 tbsp. chia seed
- 2 tbsp. hemp hearts
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp. Teaveli golden milk powder
- fresh fruits
Boil milk with Teaveli golden milk powder and some honey. Keep the flame low to let it simmer for a long time and turn it off eventually when the kitchen is filled with the fragrance of the turmeric milk. Teaveli golden milk powder contains a bit of cinnamon and pepper to help digest turmeric but it is also a good idea to grind some fresh pepper and add while boiling. Pepper in milk is great for a sore throat and the healing power of turmeric is definitely a bonus. Whether it is fever or injury, turmeric is a natural healer for many problems. All kind of inflammations can be controlled by the consumption of turmeric.
Coming to the Oats mixture, you need to get yourself a jar first. In this jar, mix the oats flour, rolled oats, hemp hearts and chia seeds. Pour the warm golden milk that we boiled, into this mixture. Stir everything well together and refrigerate. Take out from the fridge in the morning and serve it with fresh fruits topping.
THE YELLOW BOWL
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/4 tsp. ginger powder
- 1/4 tsp. cardamom powder
- 1 tsp. Teaveli Golden Milk powder
- 1 tbsp. honey or maple syrup
- Fresh fruits in season
- Some Sesame and poppy seeds
- Some coconut flakes
Take a beautiful small glass bowl of curd and stir honey into it. Now it’s time to turn it yellow. Mix the ginger and the golden milk powder into it. Add a dash of cardamom powder (making sure that it is well ground). Cardamom gets the dish a brilliant flavor that will really get highlighted on your tongue.
Top this yogurt with fruit slices of your choice. We like to see some strawberry or pomegranate on top but of course, any other fruit in the season could do a great job too. Sesame and poppy seeds can be used to garnish and provide a nice texture. Coconut flakes, in particular, provide a contrast in color and a bit of crunch to the recipe.
Traditional Indian meals always included yogurt or curd at the end of the meals to help digest the rich spicy food in the region. Even a glass of curd with water and salt mixed in it is such a savior in the scorching tropic summers.
